This was so worthwhile. I would recommend everyone try it no matter what stage of the journey they’re on. Whether just trying to get started to reflect on yourself, or if you have some goals in mind and want to empower yourself to reach them. As long as you are open to this process, it will help you, because the way Sparkle guides the session makes it so that what you take away from it will be what is genuinely important to you.
I went in open to the process and trying to understand my goals, and afterward, I felt like I had a specific, clear understanding of things about myself, and how to focus my intentions on real things I want to do. It can go from general to very specific, because it’s completely personalized. Sparkle made an analogy to me about my sense of self and responses to praise and criticism that honestly floored me. And it’s still so memorable and clear. It was such an “aha!” moment, and I still call back to that analogy when I need it. It feels like a stronger understanding than I could get from either just someone else explaining something to me, or just from me reflecting on things by myself. Because the session is a process that you are creating together, in questioning, conversation, writing, or however you think best. I was able to examine things very deeply. And I especially found it valuable because it’s not like prescribed advice. You will get answers to things that are important to you, but those answers are not coming from an outside force. The impact has felt lasting, because I am setting intention for the things that are already authentically me, so they naturally can carry through the life I’m trying to lead. I still refer to things I wrote during the session. So I think if you try this, you will come away likely to follow through on your intentions, because they come from yourself.
I think the personalized nature of this is so crucial, and I was really impressed with how deep we were able to get in just one session. Sparkle is so real and direct, and available for understanding; I had a strong sense of who she is and how she approaches things almost immediately. I found that really valuable for creating a space where I felt comfortable to reflect on things in a deep personal way. This intention setting wouldn’t be this effective or really possible without the level of connection that is required to actually get real, and Sparkle made me feel that. It’s not like therapy where sometimes I’ve felt like “um, sorry, who are you?” There is nothing clinical or alienating about this; I felt very natural. I really appreciate how that sense of connection established a foundation for everything in the session, and I can tell Sparkle is very mindful in creating that. I am so grateful for it; I want to say: thank you so much!
